The SSP Way

What does it mean? What does it stand for?

‘The SSP Way’ is a fusion of all the factors that are needed to provide clarity & build commitment at every stage of a project or a programme. It’s the kind of practical ‘no-nonsense’ combination of ‘people’ & ‘technical’ elements needed to instigate a successful journey. From ‘first thoughts’ through the complete life-cycle… to completion & beyond. It’s a genuine fusion of project management with change management. ‘The SSP Way’ is all this…& much more.

Our experience is that the most successful projects utilise tested & repeatable processes in conjunction with best practice management tools. In a typical project, management all too often focuses on the technical aspects – such as planning, organising, directing, mitigating risk & change control. It doesn’t, necessarily, focus on the people aspects – like engaging with clients, consulting with the sponsor, selling the need for change, building an effective team & engaging the stakeholders.

At SSP we recognise this &, consequently, we provide a structured framework for implementing change for all of our client engagements. This framework has Project Management Best Practice (time, cost, quality) at its core but is significantly enhanced to additionally focus on client, stakeholder & team management.

The ‘SSP Way’ is compatible with, & complementary to, Prince2, Six Sigma & PMBOK.
