SSP is committed to ensuring that all members of staff are treated and rewarded fairly, irrespective of their gender, or any other characteristic. We already ensure that we offer equal pay for work of equal value, so that we do not discriminate unlawfully against any member of the SSP team.
Our report has been published in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 (Gender Pay Gap Information) Regulations 2017 and details SSP’s gender pay gap figures for staff on the snapshot date of 05 April 2019. This year there has been a slight increase to our pay gap of 22%, this is primarily due to that fact that we still have a greater number of men in senior roles compared to females. However, having noticed this we have since put a further action plan together to improve upon this, and are pleased to have recently promoted two of our strong females into more senior roles. The UK’s current gender pay gap stands at 17%.
